2 Other environmental conditions such as: humidity,
dust,
vibration, etc. will be discussed in lesson 3 of this subcourse.
(c) Initially identify to AMCC the calibration standards that
require calibration by the US Army Standards Laboratory (USASL) for
inclusion in the automatic recall system.
Assures those standards are
shipped to the USASL for calibration within the specific interval or in
accordance with the recall schedule established by the AMCC.
(d) Make intercomparison checks of newly calibrated standards
received from the USASL in accordance with TB 9-4931-489-50, to assure no
degradation during transit.
The USASL test report for the standard will
include the date the standard was compared, value obtained, and signature of
responsible individual.
(e) Provide calibration service for calibration standards that are
identified as requiring calibration and adhere to the specified calibration
intervals.
(f) Perform preventative maintenance on components of calibration
standards sets and perform repair/overhaul in accordance with pertinent
publications.
(g) Adhere to AMCC overhaul/repair instructions for unserviceable
calibration standards that are designated in TB 43-180 as required USASL
calibration.
The calibration laboratory will pack and ship these
unserviceable standards in accordance with instructions from AMCC.
(h) Provide calibration laboratory service within the installation
where the laboratory is located and within the assigned geographic area for
calibration standards and TMDE in accordance with TB 43-180.
(i) Establish and maintain a recall system (using DA Form 2416) to
automatically schedule calibration service for calibration standards and
TMDE requiring calibration by a laboratory.
Assure service is provided
within the specified interval. Use automatic data processing equipment and
techniques, if available.
(j) Assist AMCC in evaluating calibration standards, calibration
techniques, and procedures as required.
(k) Prepare calibration correction charts as necessary.
(l) Comply with all requirements of the AMCC measurement audits.
(m) Provide to AMCC that management indicator data required for
overall analysis of the Army Calibration System.
