TASK:
Purge night vision devices AN/AVS-6(V)1/2, AN/PVS-5/A/B/C, AN/PAS-
7A, AN/VVS-2(V), AN/PVS-7A, and AN/PVS-7B.
CONDITIONS:
Given night vision devices ANVIS-AN/AVS-6(V)1/2, NVGs-AN/PVS-
5/A/B/C, VI-AN/PAS-7A, DNVW-AN/VVS-2(V), NVG-AN/PVS-7A, NVG-
AN/PVS-7B; TM 11-5855-263-23/40, TM 11-5855-238-24&P, TM 11-5855-
246-24&P, TM 11-5855-249-23, TM 11-5855-262-24-1, TM 11-5855-262-
24-2, extracts with all changes; a predetermined site; special tools and
equipment listed in TMs; using realistic tactical scenario narratives and
discussions, and with a qualified supervisory OJT monitor's assistance.
STANDARDS:
Correctly purge the night vision devices AN/AVS-6(V)1/2, AN/PVS-
5/A/B/C, AN/PVS-7A, AN/VVS-2(V), AN/PVS-7A, and AN/PVS-7B;
without error, within one out of two attempts, IAW the technical manual,
under simulated tactical environmental conditions, without causing damage to
the equipment or injury to personnel, within 15 minutes per attempt per
device.
INSTRUCTIONS:
When you feel you are ready to perform the performance (hands-on with equipment) end-of-
subcourse practice exercise for this subcourse, inform your SOJT monitor. You are reminded
not to attempt to perform the above task without the assistance of an assigned SOJT monitor.
