Items in this division are those which will burn vigorously, with little or no possibility of
extinguishment in a storage situation.
(b)
Explosions caused by these items normally will be confined to pressure ruptures of the
containers, and will not produce shock waves or damaging blast overpressures.
(c)
This class/division is a severe fire hazard to other items in the affected area.
(d)
Figure 12, page 15 provides QD for class 1.3 items, and lists examples of the items in this
class/division.
