Observer A had few random errors and no systematic errors.
He had good
precision and accuracy. He made one gross error, but it was rejected and
another reading was taken in place of it. Observer B had both random and
systematic errors. He achieved neither precision nor accuracy. Observer C
had considerable random errors but no systematic errors.
He was accurate
but not precise.
Observer D had systematic errors but few random errors.
He was precise but not accurate.
