Learning Event 1:
READ AND INTERPRET THE BUILT-IN DIAGNOSTIC TEST.
Learning Event 2:
IDENTIFY FAULTS THROUGH ISOLATION EXERCISES.
1.
Situation. In a shop environment, you are given a 2407 and an LDF
with a suspected fault. The soldier must isolate the fault to a specific
item by using the power-on diagnostic built-in test, by operating the
LDF, and by using the applicable troubleshooting chart IAW TM 11-5815-
615-23.
2.
During this lesson, you will review Table 1 (Power-on diagnostic
built-in test).
The built-in test will tell you which test is being
performed and the circuit card assembly being used during each test.
3.
Troubles in the operation of the LDF can be located by the use of
power-on diagnostic test and the following figures that list essentially
all possible malfunctions that could occur due to equipment aging.
