TASK
Troubleshoot and final test of the TA-236/FT telephone set
CONDITIONS
Given a TA-236/FT, connecting block (WECo type 42 or equivalent), communications wire, telephone
circuit (either a dial central office line or common battery (CB) switchboard (SB-86 circuit) TS-190,
wire cutters, flat-tip screwdriver, TM 11-468 Extracts using tactical scenario narrations, and discussions
with a qualified supervisory OJT monitor's assistance.
STANDARD
Correctly perform a preventive maintenance check, continuity check, and final test within one out of two
attempts, of the TA-236/FT within 20 minutes.
INSTRUCTIONS
When you feel you are ready to perform the performance (hands-on w/equipment) practice exercise for
this lesson, inform your SOJT monitor. You are reminded not to attempt to perform the above task
without the assistance of an assigned SOJT monitor.
