The TM 11-5855-246-24&P, Chapter 4 paragraph 4-8 (see TM extract on page 93 ) gives
calls for the purging and pressure setup (Figure 3-3), however the purge kit, fire control (Figure
3-4) and the purge device (Figure 3-2) can also be employed to purge the AN/PAS-7A. The
basic procedure as outlined in the TM must be modified for use with the purge device in the
following manner:
NOTE:
Purge kit, fire control is considered equivalent to purging and pressure test setup
described in technical manual.
Step 1.
Ensure that valves are closed on the fire control purging tool and nitrogen tank
before connecting equipment. Connect purge kit, fire control to nitrogen tank and
purge device as shown in Figure 3-2.
