tops which have exposed explosives or dust should be covered with a properly
grounded conductive material. Table tops must meet the same requirements as
the flooring.
d. Conductive floors must be compatible with the material processed in
the building.

If the ammunition maintenance facility is new, initial tests shall be
made of all conductive floors; tests shall be made at least semiannually.
The test results shall be permanently recorded with a copy filed in the
safety office.
a. Instruments used in making tests shall be used only when the room is
free from exposed explosives. The testing instrument should be a portable,
self powered, enclosed unit and should consist of two dry electrodes. (See
Figure 1-5.)

b. One electrode shall have a special metal block (five pounds in
weight) which makes contact with five square inches of floor area.
This
block should have a non-metallic strap for easy towing over the floor under
test.
