Psychrometer:
Range -------- 0C to 35C (32 to 95F)
(c) At the start of each week, mount the thermometer at or as near
as possible to, the center of the environmental sampling ducts 3 feet above
the floor for prefabricated modular laboratories (APN's 7913004, 7910969,
and 8035303). For laboratories with exposed sensors, mount the thermometer
in the immediate vicinity of the sensing element. Prepare the psychrometer
for operation in accordance with procedures provided with the instrument and
place in the general location of the recorder sensor. Allow the instruments
to stabilize (about 15 minutes).
After they are stabilized, read the
temperatures shown on the temperature recorder and thermometer and determine
if the recorder is within tolerance. As soon as possible, obtain relative
humidity readings from the humidity recorder and the psychrometer. Record
these and determine if the humidity recorder is within tolerance.
The
observer's initials on the chart at the location corresponding to the time
of the observation will be a satisfactory record.
(2) Dust
prefabricated modular laboratories (APN's 7913004, 7910969, and 8035303) is
not required. Samples may be taken whenever laboratory conditions indicate
visible accumulation of dust. In other laboratories, samples will be taken
semiannually. Special samples may be taken when problems are suspected.
(b) Light scattering dust counting equipment may be used when the
item and procedure are approved by AMCC. However, the particle sampling kit
furnished by AMCC or equipment meets the following specifications is
preferred:
Vacuum Pump (for minimum 50 cm Hz)
Interval Timer, 0 to 60 minutes (optional)
Rubber or Tygon Tubing
Limited Orifice or Flowmeter
Filter, Membrane, 37 mm or 47 mm diameter, black, with grids pore
size 0.8 microns
(c) Atmospheric cleanliness will be monitored for each laboratory
