1-7 Test-Operate Lightweight Doppler Navigation Set AN/ASN-128.
a. Check CDU controls and switches for proper mechanical operation.

b. Visually inspect Antenna Radome.
(Refer to previous lesson.)
c. Visually inspect Doppler Navigation System AN/ASN-128.
(Refer to
previous lesson.)
d. Turn power ON and allow AN/ASN-128 to warm up.
e. Operational check of AN/ASN-128.
(Refer to previous lesson.)
f. Test-operate Doppler Navigation System AN/ASN-128.
(1) Have training supervisor to place a bad component in the AN/ASN-
128.
(2) Test-operate the AN/ASN-128 and record your finding in the chart
below.
(3) You must correctly identify the bad read-out of the CDU and have
it checked off by the training supervisor.
(4) Test-operate the AN/ASN-128 until an incorrect read-out shows up
on the CDU digital display indicators.
