b. The principle of operation of the potentiometer is based on a
technique of direct current comparison developed at the National Research
Council of Canada by N. L. Kusters.
c. Inherently this technique eliminates many of the error sources
present in conventional measurement systems which depend on precision
resistors.
The instrument therefore offers accuracy, stability, and
linearity which is at least an order of magnitude greater than that
available in conventional designs.
