When dealing with intermagazine distances, you must know the types of magazines that will be
affected. For this explanation we will use "Standard earth-covered arch-type magazine," front
unbarricaded. To read table 5-6 (fig. 2-16), simply find the correct type magazine in the left hand
column, then start across the top of the table to find the type magazine you are dealing with. Now look
at table 5-6 (fig. 2-16). We have identified the magazines at both columns. Read across and down to
find the correct number listed, in this case the number is 9.

Let's go on to table 5-7 (fig. 2-17).
Let's say we have 10,000 NEW of class 1.1 to deal with. Look at table 5-7 (fig. 2-17). Read down
the first two columns until you find "Not over 10,000," then read across the top of the table, until you
find 9. The intermagazine distance is 235 feet.
