Barricaded Storage
Vegetation will be controlled and a firebreak at least 50 feet wide and free from flammable material
will be maintained around the storage site.
Excessive dunnage may not be stored between magazines or between outdoor sites and
magazines. Excess dunnage should be stored in a dunnage yard. Dunnage may be stored for a time
near a stack or site being worked, if it is stacked no closer than 50 feet to the stack or site.
A drainage ditch should be maintained around each pad to prevent excessive water damage to
pallets and ammunition. See Figure 11.
Ammunition must be stored on no less than three inches of dunnage. See Figure 12.
