TROUBLESHOOT RADIO RECEIVER R-1496/ARN-89
TASK
CONDITIONS
Given a radio receiver R-1496( )/ARN-89( ), radio set control C-7392( )/ARN-
89( ), maintenance kit MK-994/AR, signal generator SG-1170/U, digital
multimeter AN/USM-486, oscilloscope AN/USM-488, headset H-101( )/U or
equivalent, this subcourse booklet, and a qualified supervisory on-the-job-
training (OJT) monitor.
STANDARD
Acceptable performance is obtained when the soldier can isolate the fault to
a defective subassembly in two of three receivers, within 1 hour per
receiver.
