PERFORMANCE ACTIONS:
1.
Align AN/FPN-40 Azimuth Cursor.
NOTES:
Have your monitor misadjust the azimuth cursor and inform you as
to which runway cursor you are to align.
Have your monitor show you the runway parallel line (RPL),
touchdown (TD) and the bracketing reflectors on the radar
display.
a. Place the SCAN Switch S-305
on
the Panel,
Power Distribution SB-
1116/FPN-40 to the ON position.
b. Place the L-R switch on the navigational computer chassis to the L or
R position, depending upon whether the OA-2665/FPN-40 is sited for left or
right of runway operation.
c. Place the CURSOR SELECT Switch S-410 on the navigational computer
chassis to the runway cursor you are to adjust.
d. Place the RANGE NAUTICAL MILES Switch S-1501 on the synchronizer-
generator chassis to the PREC 10 position.
e. Place the SURVEILLANCE-FINAL APPROACH-HEIGHT FINDER Switch S-2802 on
the Control Radar Set C-2074/FPN-33 to the FINAL APPROACH position.
f. Depress the TRANSMITTER HV ON button on Panel, Power Distribution SB-
1116/FPN-40.
g. Alternately depress the CURSOR ALIGN S-2807 on the Control Radar Set
C-2074/FPN-33, and place the MOUNT POS Switch S-2805 to either the clockwise
or counterclockwise position until the 0 degree reference strobe (see figure
22) intersects the radar reflection from the RPL reflector.
