k. Use the precision drive handwheel on the Antenna Pedestal Subassembly
AB-6431/FPN, and manually position the Antenna AS-1079/FPN (azimuth antenna)
until the azimuth protractor on Antenna Pedestal Subassembly AB-643/FPN
indicates the given tangent angle 0-1.
l. Perform the following on the navigational computer chassis:
(1) Unlatch release handles and pull chassis forward fan enough to gain
access to the CUR LIN ADJ potentiometers A21 through A24.
(2) Alternately place the ART EL-OPERATE-ART AZ Switch S-401 to the ART
AZ and OPERATE positions while adjusting the ANGLE VOLTS, ARTIFICIAL Control
R-402 until the artificial sweep superimposes the radar sweep.
(3) Place the ART EL-OPERATE-ART AZ Switch S-401 to the ART AZ position.
(4) Connect a multimeter between the ANGLE VOLTS OUTPUT Test Point TP-
405 and the GROUND Test Point TP-419.
CAUTION
(5) Observe and record the voltage indication on the multimeter.
m. Use the precision drive handwheel on the Antenna Pedestal Subassembly
AB-642/FPN and manually position the azimuth antenna until the azimuth
protractor on the Antenna Pedestal Subassembly AB-643/FPN indicates the
given tangent angle 0-2.
n. Perform the following on the navigational computer chassis:
(1) Alternately place the ART EL-OPERATE-ART AZ Switch S-401 to the ART
AZ and OPERATE positions while adjusting the ANGLE VOLTS, ARTIFICIAL Control
R-402 until the artificial sweep superimposes the radar sweep.
(2) Place the ART EL-OPERATE-ART AZ Switch S-401 to the ART AZ position.
(3) Observe and record the voltage indicated by the multimeter.
