b. Lubricating instructions. The LDF requires no lubrication.

Operator PMCS. The only PMCS tasks to be performed by the operator are to clean the carriage
amplifier assembly and scan-optic lens, and to check the document pads for wear on a daily basis under
normal environmental conditions or as required. When the LDF is used in a blowing sand or dust
environment, clean prior to each transmission/reception if necessary, and always keep the cover closed.
Perform procedures in Table 6.

General. Preventive maintenance at the unit level consists of cleaning the carriage amplifier
assembly as described in the operator PMCS table in TM 11-5815-615-10/TM 09955A-10/1.
