NOTE:
In some installations the heater thermostats also control the
cooling. The air conditioner will not cool unless the thermostat setting is
below the temperature prevailing in the van.
(d) Set the air conditioner selector switch (figure 17) to the
COOL or FAN position as desired.
CAUTION:
Do not attempt to start the air conditioner before opening the
bonnet front door.
(e) Set the air conditioner damper control (figure 17) to vary
proportion of fresh air and recirculated air as desired.
(3) Stopping air conditioner.
(a) Place the air conditioner selector switch (figure 17) in the
OFF position.

(d) Close and lock air conditioner bonnet front door with control

SUMMARY. The calibration van, when set up and operated properly, will
provide you with an environment in which you can perform your assigned
mission as a calibration technician. Fitting of the side panels, pins, etc.
and proper leveling of the van are essential to protect the weather seals.
Understanding van operations is a valuable asset and will make your job much
easier.
