OVERVIEW
TASK DESCRIPTION:
In this lesson you will learn to manage Training Ammunition Management Information System
(TAMIS) reports.
LEARNING OBJECTIVE:
ACTIONS:
Identify procedures used in forecasting training requirements, TAMIS
authorization reports, and reporting of expenditures/turn-ins of training
ammunition.
CONDITIONS:
In this lesson, you will find all required information for completion of this
subcourse. You may work independently or with a group. You will require no
additional equipment or supervisory personnel.
STANDARDS:
Manage Training Ammunition Management Information System (TAMIS)
reports in accordance with AR 5-13, TM 38-L69-11-2 and DA Pam 710-2-2.

INTRODUCTION
Success in combat depends on many things. One of the most important of these is the ability of soldiers,
crews, and units to reach and maintain acceptable levels of weapons proficiency. Before this can
happen, there must be enough ammunition for training. Today, however, it is becoming harder and
harder for Army leaders to meet training ammunition requirements. Procurement costs are rising and
training budgets are decreasing. There are inadequacies in training facilities and environmental
restrictions on the use of land.
