LESSON 2
Figure 2-25. Extract of Table 5-11, TM 9-1300-206
Read the Inhabited building column; you find the IBD is 800 feet.
NOTE
With all class 1.2 tables the IBD and the PTR are always the same distance in the tables.
Tables 5-12 and 5-13 (fig. 2-19) are used the same way as tables 5-10 (fig. 2-22) and 5-11 (fig. 2-
25).
Class 1.3. Mass Fire, Figure 2-26.
Class 1.3 items use table 5-14 (fig. 2-26) to determine quantity-distance and table 5-15 (fig. 2-26) to
identify items in class 1, division 3.
Table 5-14 (fig. 2-26) lists IBD, PTR, intraline, and above ground magazine distances.
The table is used in the same manner as tables previously discussed in this lesson. For example,
ammunition blank for cannon is listed in table 5-21 (fig. 2-27) class 1.3. If you had these items with a
NEW of 1,500 pounds and wanted to find the minimum intraline distance, you would verify the
class/division by checking table 5-21 (fig. 2-27). You would then use table 5-14 (fig. 2-28) to find the
required minimum intraline distance.
