Determining QDs
With tonnage computed and field storage categories determined, QDs can be determined by using Table 4-4
of TM 9-1300-206 (Figure 6). This table gives the minimum allowable distances to meet QD requirements when
storing ammunition in the field. Using them, depending on the space available and terrain, a preliminary
determination of FSU and stack placement can be made.
