INTRODUCTION
Resupply of ammunition during wartime is probably the most important of the many functions
necessary to win the battle. To the average soldier who uses the ammunition given to him, resupply
comes from some nebulous "stockpile of everything needed." This is extremely simplistic. Ammunition
resupply takes extensive planning and coordination to get the right material to the right place at the
right time, and in the right quantity. This subcourse will provide you with sufficient information on the
DAO so you will understand Class V resupply.
