q. Rotate the AB-643/FPN-40 with the MOUNT POSITION switch (S4206)
until the support beam casting is parallel with the front of the CY-
2830/FPN-40 (Figure 17).
r. If the cross arm spirit level, which is at a right angle to the
support beam casting (Figure 11), indicates an unlevel condition, it must be
adjusted. Correct half the error with the rear leg leveling jack and half
by adjusting the spirit level jam nuts.
s. Repeat the procedures given in paragraphs o through r above until
the spirit level indicates a level condition in both positions.
t. See that both spirit levels (Figure 11) now indicate a level
condition when the support beam casting is parallel with the front, the
rear, and each side of the CY-2830/FPN-40. Repeat paragraphs j through r,
as necessary.
4.
You have completed the leveling of the AN/FPN-40 radar set group. In
doing so you have ensured the proper accuracy of the clinometer.
Restore
the radar set group to its operating condition by disengaging the drive-
lock, placing the SCAN MOTOR circuit breaker (CB-4205) to the ON position,
and placing the LOCAL/REMOTE switch (S-4201) to the REMOTE position.
