To remove the LDF, perform the following procedures:
a. Set PUSH FOR ON power switch (Figure 6) to OFF position.
b. Slide carriage STOP handle and carriage START handle to extreme right-hand end of
carriage frame assembly and engage carriage LOCK handle.
c. Disconnect power input cable from connector J2, I/O cable from signal connector J1 or
connections from LINE and PHONE binding posts, and ground cables if installed.
d. Install jumper plug assembly on connector J1 and dust cover on J2.
e. Close and latch front cover.
f. If LDF is installed on a vehicle mounting adapter, remove from mounting adapter.

Operation Under Unusual Conditions.
a. Operation in unusual weather. The LDF needs no special procedures for operating in
unusual weather conditions. Cover can be closed during scanning and printing to protect operating
parts.
b. Emergency procedures. The LDF has no alternate procedures for operating under emergency
conditions.
