(a) TDY orders covering the teams new itinerary are requested.
(b) Units

requiring
security
clearances
are
properly notified.
(c) Travel vouchers are filed.
(d) All required personnel actions for the individual team members
are completed.
(f) The

(4) A complete cross-check procedure must be run and satisfactorily
completed prior to leaving the laboratory area. If any item does not pass,
it must be returned to the laboratory for recheck and adjustment, and that
portion of the cross-check must be rerun until all items pass.
The
remainder of the team's equipment is calibrated. Any items requiring repair
must have this action completed at this time or be exchanged.
Of the
approximately 320 items requiring calibration on a team, the USASL
calibrates 11, the AACL calibrates 152, and the team calibrates 157. (These
figures are not adjusted by interval.)
(5) With the vehicles and equipment ready for travel, the chief
should get the team ready. The trip schedule and the DA Form 2416 working
deck for each unit are picked up from the operations section. At the same
time he will verify that all units scheduled for calibration have been
notified. TDY orders are picked up and passed out to each individual team
member in sufficient quantities to last the entire trip.
(6) In preparing for travel, the team chief should brief his drivers
on the following things:
(a) Route to be followed,
