(3) Users are responsible for repairing items that are within their
maintenance capabilities.
Due to scheduling, an ATST may not be able to
perform minor repairs; in such cases, items will be repaired by maintenance
personnel of the unit, preferable before the ATST leaves the area, to permit
calibration and certification of the repaired item.
7.
SUMMARY. The Army calibration system operates to insure the accuracy
of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment, and calibration standards
used in support of Army materiel. The calibration specialist, as a member
of the calibration team, plays an important role in the operation of this
system.
