responsibility in accordance with TB 43-180-1, using a secondary transfer
calibration configuration.
(b) Provides TMDE calibration and DS/GS maintenance of TMDE-GP for
customer units located in its immediate geographic area.
(c) Provides backup support for TMDE evacuated by ATST including
all low density TMDE requiring specialized skills on limited deployment
standards and accessories.
(8) Area TMDE Support Team Headquarters.
(a) Provides overall supervision of the ATSTs and develops OJT
programs for the ATSTs.
(b) Directs the operational missions of the teams, assigns units
to be supported and adjusts personnel and equipment assets to meet
fluctuating workload requirements.
(c) Develops
procedures
for
optimization
of
calibration
itineraries.
(d) Coordinates all requirements for airlifting or other means of
transporting team personnel and equipment when required.
(e) Coordinates support interface between ATST and other company
elements.
(9) Area TMDE Support Teams.
(a) Each ATST is assigned a geographic area of responsibility for
mode using secondary transfer calibration configuration.
ATST perform
calibration on supported units TMDE identified in TBs 43-180 or 43-180-1,
43-181, and 43-182.
(b) The ATST performs support maintenance on customer assigned
general purpose TMDE and maintains service stock of repair parts for repair
of supported unit general purpose TMDE.
(10) Technical Supply Section.
(a) Maintains the supply account and ASL for all repair parts used
to support TMDE in the company mission area.
(b) Maintains repair parts for replenishment of the service stock
of mobile support teams as a matter of operational convenience.
