variation of any consequence will be in implementation of TOEs. This must
be determined by commanders during analysis of theater and corps workloads
of equipment to be calibrated and repaired. The overall organization plan
is flexible so it can tailor organizations to satisfy the mission
requirements according to the densities of materiel to be supported and
command and control as required. Teams are normally assigned to an existing
TMDE CRSC.

CAPABILITIES.
a. The capabilities of units organized under TOE 29-670H vary with the
size and grouping of the teams used. Individual team capabilities are shown
in the detailed breakdown of teams, paragraph 8.
b. When administrative control, mess, organizational supply, and
organizational maintenance teams are required, they may be drawn from TOEs
29-500, 29-510, and 29-600, as applicable.
c. Figure 2-4 shows the TMDE support channels for calibration and
repair of TMDE-GP. The accuracy of measurements will be traceable from the
exception is time and frequency measurements which will be referenced to the
national measurements standards maintained by the US Naval Observatory. The
USASL is maintained to provide the Army's highest level of measurement
accuracies through the use of NBS calibrated standards, NBS measurement
assurance programs, fundamental physical constants, and measurement error
analysis techniques.

DETAILED BREAKDOWN OF TEAMS
a. Area Calibration Laboratory (ACL) Functions.
(1) Operates and maintains the ACL measurement standards in an
accurate operating condition. Accuracies must be traceable to Army primary
frequency that are maintained by the US Naval Observatory.
(2) Assures the ACL measurement standards and associated equipment
are maintained and used in a controlled environment as required by TB 750-

that require calibration by the USASL (refer to TB 43-180-1) and are not
included in the USAMCC automated recall system. Assures ACL standards are
shipped to the USASL for calibration within the specified calibration
interval to meet the recall schedule provided by the USAMCC.
