Fire fighting equipment should be available for each vehicle and each MHE used. Fire fighting
equipment should also be located near the storage facility for use by the storage crews.
Protective clothing and equipment should be used depending on the situation -- for example,
banding crews would need gloves and face shields.
Appropriate first aid equipment should be available.
c. During rewarehousing operations, one of the primary goals is lot number consolidation. However,
since normal management practices dictate the issue of smaller lots first, the smaller lots should
always be placed near the front of the storage facility. In addition, the storage crew should be
especially alert for light boxes. Light boxes within a lot should be kept to an absolute minimum. With
the exception of unit basic loads, only one light box per lot is authorized. Crew members must always
attempt to place pallets with light boxes in the front of the stack. Light boxes will be painted orange.
However, within local ASPs light boxes need not be painted orange if a positive means of
identification is used, such as a light box card securely attached to the box. This method of
identifying light boxes is for ASP use only. All issued or shipped light boxes will be painted orange.
d. In rewarehousing, accountability is critical. During rewarehousing of each lot of ammunition the DA
Form 3151-R (Ammunition Stores Slip) for that lot should be checked. If the DA Form 3151-R does
not match what was moved, it should be corrected to reflect the actual quantities. See Figure 5, page
10. When rewarehousing is performed at one location (that is, without changing storage site), a DA
Form 3151-R is not required. After each lot is moved, the DA Form 3020-R must be checked. There
should be only one DA Form 3020-R per lot. This form is used to record any receipt or issue
transactions. The rewarehousing receipts should be posted to the DA Forms 3020-R. See Figure 6,
page 10 for an example of the DA Form 3020-R. Any Forms 3020-R that are completely filled in, or
become excess due to rewarehousing, should be collected. At the same time, the planographs
should be updated to reflect the new locations. After the completion of the day's operation all DA
Forms 3151-R, excess or full DA Forms 3020-R, and updated planographs should be returned to the
Stock Records section.
5. When rewarehousing is accomplished, the Stock Records section will post all location transfers to the
stock records.
6. You have now completed the lesson. You will now take a practice exercise covering the material you
have learned in the lesson. After you take the practice exercise, check your answers with the answer key
given. Once you satisfactorily complete the practice exercise, you will be ready to proceed to the
subcourse examination.
