DA Form 3261 is the planograph for standard aboveground magazine type storage facilities. A
completed copy of DA Form 3261 is shown as Figure 3, page 7. There is another planograph
available which is an automated form. Since it is automated there is no form number assigned,
and it will not be discussed in this lesson. The standard scale for a planograph is 1/16 inch
equals 1 foot, in accordance with TM 743-200-1. Other scales may be used, depending on
MACOM guidance.
(2) Also during the planning process, the storage crew should be locating applicable storage
drawings. Storage drawings are indexed in AMC Drawing 19-48-75-5. Drawings may be stored
either in the Operations section or by the QASAS section. Selection and use of storage drawings
is covered in MM0151.
(a) Storage drawings are developed based on a specific packaging configuration of ammunition.
They provide storage diagrams for different types of storage facilities. They also provide
magazine measurement information. They identify dunnage requirements and accessibility
requirements for MHE. They provide general and special notes to stacking procedures.
