a. Place the SURVEILLANCE/FINAL APPROACH/HEIGHT FINDER switch S2803 on
control radar set to FINAL APPROACH (Figure 61).
b. Place SCAN switch

c. Rotate the precision
drive
handwheel
to
position
the
elevation
NOTE:
Have assistant ensure that elevation antenna remains at +6
for the duration of the alignment.
d. Connect the VERTICAL INPUT of the oscilloscope to the 1500 CPS LEVEL
test point TP414 on the computer chassis (Figure 64).
e. Connect the EXTERNAL TRIGGER of the oscilloscope to the A TRIGGER
test point TP401 on the computer chassis (Figure 62).
f. Adjust oscilloscope to obtain one cycle of the 1500 CPS sine wave
(Figure 44).
g. Adjust the DATA PHASE ADJ control R516 on the computer chassis until
the demodulator gate signal coincides with the center of the positive peak
of the 1500 CPS sine wave observed at TP414 (Figure 64).
h. Disconnect the oscilloscope.
i. Connect the multimeter (DC SCALE) between the ANGLE VOLTS OUTPUT
test point TP405 and the COMMON test point TP418 on the computer chassis
(Figure 65).
