b. An on-going
cleaning
program
is
required
for
maintaining
safe
operations.
(1) Extensive cleaning should not
be
conducted
while
an
explosives
operation is being performed.
(2) Hot water or steam should be used for cleaning floors in buildings
containing exposed explosives wherever practical.
(3) Sweeping compounds which are nonabrasive and compatible with
explosives may be used when steam or hot water is not practical.
(4) Sweeping compounds may be combustible but they must not be volatile;
the closed cup flash point must be more than 230 degrees.
