(b) National Stock Number (NSN).
An identifying number assigned
to items for use in requisitioning.
The NSN column also lists an index
number which is used to locate items in the publication when only the
reference number or National Stock Number is available.
If the reference
number or National Stock Number is known, refer to the respective index at
the end of the publication and use the index number to locate the item in
the listing.
(c) Managing Activity (MA).
The managing activity column
indicates
the
managing
activity
of
a
component
when
the
supply
responsibilities for the component differ from the responsible managing
activity.
(d) Description.
The description column indicates the Federal
item name and any additional description required for supply operations.
