(c) Requisitioning, receipt, and accounting for supplies and
equipment will be effected in accordance with the procedures of AR 710-2.
(d) The technical supply section maintains the prescribed load
list for repair parts.
If the standards cannot be repaired locally,
unserviceable items are evacuated for repair in accordance with the guidance
provided in SB 9-170.
Concurrently with turn-in and evacuation of an
unserviceable item, replacement items are requisitioned. For information on
forms and records used in maintenance operations and details on their
preparation, see TM 38-750. For details on field command use of maintenance
data generated at using unit and support unit levels, see TM 38-750-1.
4.
Secondary Transfer Team Operation
a. Each transfer team provides calibration services to specified units.
Workload is determined by the operations office in accordance with the
factors listed in paragraph 4d(9)(e). Visits are made in accordance with an
itinerary provided by the operations office. It is essential that transfer
teams adhere to these itineraries.
The teams travel in and work from
expansible vans (figure 5); but when better service can be afforded or when
distance, condition of roads, or other factors exist which may preclude road
travel, the operations office should arrange for air transportation of the
transfer teams.
