NOTE:
An interlock serves as an ON-OFF switch.
Because of its
design, the interlock provides additional functions.
First,
it removes the power from the unit when an operator opens a
panel or drawer.
This provides safety for the operator.
Secondly, when testing is required by the repair person, it
restores power to the unit when placed in its most forward
position.
