e. Disengage the release handles of the synchronizer-generator,
electronic marker SN-386/FPN-40 chassis and pull the chassis forward until
it reaches its mechanical stops.
Restore power by pulling the INTERLOCK
switch to its forward-most position (Figure 29).

An INTERLOCK serves as an ON/OFF switch.
Because of its
design, the INTERLOCK provides additional functions.
First,
it removes the power from the unit when the operator opens a
panel or chassis.
This provides safety for the operator.
Secondly, when testing is required by the repairer, it
restores power to the unit when placed in its forward-most
position.
