e. On the vertical sweep amplifier, adjust LEVEL ADJ control R-1712 for
-1.5 volts DC at the LEVEL 2 test point TP1703 (Figure 49).

f. While adjusting to OFF CENTERING HORIZ control R-1503 on the SN-
386/FPN-40, alternately connect your multimeter to LEVEL 1 test point TP1701
and LEVEL 2 test point TP1703 on the horizontal sweep amplifier for equal DC
voltages at TP1701 and TP1703 (Figure 48).
g. On the horizontal sweep amplifier, adjust LEVEL ADJ control, R1712
for -1.5 volts DC at LEVEL 2 test point TP1703 (Figure 48).

You have completed the centering current adjustment. In doing so, you
have set the centering current in each of the vertical and horizontal
deflection transistors in the control-indicator IP-800/FPN-40. Restore the
radar set to its operating condition by disconnecting all test equipment and
securing the chassis into position.
