This task requires the radar set AN/FPN-40 to be operated in the
PRECISION mode.
When the radar set AN/FPN-40 is placed in the PRECISION
mode (PREC), the azimuth antenna AS-1079/FPN-40 scans a 30 horizontal
sector and the elevation antenna AS-1080/FPN-40 scans a 7 vertical sector.
The precision mechanism is engaged only when both azimuth and elevation
antennas scan their respective scan areas.
QUESTIONS: In the PRECISION mode (PREC), the azimuth antenna
