Align azimuth angle data resolver on radar set AN/FPN-40.
a. Perform the following on the control monitor C-2124/FPN-33 (Figure
9).
(1) Place REMOTE-LOCAL switch to LOCAL.
(2) Place SEARCH-PREC-HF switch to PREC.
(3) Place SCAN switch to ON until the precision mechanism engages.
(4) Place SCAN switch to OFF.
(a) Actuator CB-4209.
(b) POS motor CB-4208.
(c) Scan motor CB-4205.
b. Perform the following on power supply PP-2489/FPN (Figure 8).
(1) Depress HIGH VOLTAGE OFF button on PP-2489/FPN (Figure 8).
(2) Rotate precision handwheel (Figure 50) to position azimuth
antenna AS-1079/FPN-40 to 0 as indicated by the dial scale (Figure 16).
(3) Connect the vertical input of an oscilloscope to the S1 terminal
of the azimuth angle data resolver (B-3405)(Figure 67). Observe the 1500 hz
(CPS) sine wave (Figure 44).
(4) Loosen retaining clamps on the azimuth angle data resolver (B-
3405) (Figure 67).
(5) Rotate the azimuth angle data resolver for minimum amplitude of
