(8) Unlock hinged roof (figure 13) and floor panels from outside of
van, but do not open.
WARNING:
Check to make sure that the counterbalance cable is not damaged.
Do not open the hinged roof and floor panels from the outside of the van.
Serious injury can result if the counterbalance cable is broken or breaks.
(9) Working from inside the van, push hinged roof and floor (figures
2 and 10) outward. Stand on hinged floor and push hinged roof upward until
it is possible to swing all swivel hooks (attached to side panel) under roof
edge. Retract side panel slightly to permit swivel hooks to reset on pads
at edge of roof.
CAUTION:
Hinged roof must be supported by swivel hooks before proceeding
with closing of the van. Exercise care to prevent damage to the seals of
the hinged roof.
(10) Unhook end panel door holding rod (figure 11) from rear end panel
door and stow rod on adjacent retractable beam. Push upward on rear corner
of roof to prevent damage to roof seal and close rear end panel door. Close
front end panel door by same procedure.
