factors, environmental condition, techniques used, etc...) is transmitted,
with the standard or standards, to the point of origin for evaluation of the
capabilities and procedures of the audited calibration facility.

Laboratory
(USASL).
The
USASL
is
an
organizational element of USAMCC and provides the Army's highest level of
measurement capability.
The USASL maintains the Army's most precise and
accurate measurement standards and provides calibration service for AACL's
and AICL's.
r. Army Calibration and Repair Activity.
An Army organizational
element that is assigned a mission to provide calibration and repair support
for TMDE (Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment).
s. TMDE Calibration and Repair Center (CRC). A functional organization
(personnel and equipment) established for the purpose of providing single
source, total calibration and repair support for general purpose (common)
TMDE. CRC's provide organizational, direct, and general support maintenance
for organic instruments, as well as direct and
