3) maintains rosters, records, and reports,

4) makes arrangements for the calibration and certification of the

company's secondary reference and secondary transfer standards in

accordance with established schedules, and

5) notifies both the supported units of subject TMDE and the battalion

headquarters of the out-of-tolerance conditions of the calibration

standards.

This office maintains a technical library and distributes technical

publications in the company. Personnel from the operations office install

and operate the organic switchboard and wire communications system.

(c) Technical supply section. This section manages the supply of

repair parts for the standards and TMDE required to perform secondary

reference and secondary transfer calibration. This section also receives,

issues, and hand receipts all calibration equipment assigned to the unit.

(d) Secondary transfer platoon.

1 Platoon headquarters. The platoon headquarters directs and

supervises platoon operations, performs required clerical duties, and

maintains administrative records involved in platoon operations.

This

includes

maintenance

of

calibration

rosters,

tabulating

technical

information, and preparing necessary reports.

The platoon headquarters

coordinates and schedules recertification of the transfer team standards

with the company control office.

2 Secondary transfer calibration teams.

Teams perform

secondary transfer calibration of TMDE within the area of responsibility of

the calibration company and provide technical advice and assistance to

supported units as required. Teams may perform repair to supported units'

TMDE when the repair is incidental to calibration, when replacement parts

are immediately available, and when effecting these repairs will not

jeopardize the calibration team's schedule.

Teams fill out calibration

forms in accordance with TM 38-750 for each calibrated item and forward them

to the secondary transfer platoon headquarters.

Special reporting

requirements located in TB 43-180 concerning TMDE used to support nuclear

weapons will be done by team personnel.

(e) Secondary reference calibration laboratory.

1 Laboratory office.

This office provides coordination with

the calibration company operations office, technical supply sections, and

base TMDE repair section/team.

The office personnel monitor the

environmental condition of the reference laboratory and
