(4) Measurement standards requiring ACL calibration

will be evacuated to the ACL for calibration and repair.
h. ACRC Base TMDE Support.
The ACRC Base TMDE Support provides the
same services as ATST's. In addition, it provides DS/GS maintenance support
for TMDE and ATST measurement standards listed in TB 43-180-1 as requiring
ATST calibration and repair.
(1) The procedures
outlined
in
g
above
apply
for
organic
and
supported instruments.
(2) As a DS/GS maintenance activity, backup maintenance support for
ATST's will be provided; issue of operational readiness floats or direct
exchange stocks will be initiated; and recommendations applicable to
unserviceable, uneconomically repairable TMDE-GP will be made.
i. ACL. The ACL calibrates and repairs TMDE and measurement standards
that are listed in TB 43-180-1 as requiring ACL calibration.
(1) The procedures outlined in g above will apply for organic and
supported instruments. Where g above is oriented to ATST's, the ACL's will
interpret the paragraph to apply to ACL calibration and repair support.
(2) When repair of an instrument is beyond the capability of the ACL,
issue of a replacement from the operational readiness float or direct
exchange stocks will be initiated.
If none is available, the instrument
will be returned to the owner/user with a recommendation to dispose of the
TMDE in accordance with existing regulations/procedures.
(3) Unserviceable measurement standards requiring USASL calibration
(TB 43-180-1) will be evacuated to the USASL for repair, calibration, and
return.
j. USASL.
The USASL calibrates and repairs TMDE-GP and measurement
standards listed in TB 43-180-1 as requiring USASL calibration. Procedures
will be established by USAMCC to control the processing of instruments
through the USASL for calibration, repair, and return to owners/users.
k. Unserviceable
Critical
TMDE.
When
CRITICAL
TMDE
becomes
unserviceable and there is no other TMDE on hand that can be used to perform
the required measurements or tests, emergency on-call service will be
provided. A critical TMDE is an item of TMDE which is the only
