d. Even through some incidental training value may be gained. The DA definition of "Training
Unique Ammunition" is defined as: "Ammunition for which there is no projective battlefield or
operational project use; it is used only for training. It may be either obsolescent service, training
practice, or subcaliber ammunition."
e. The DA definition of "Dummy and Inert Ammunition" is defined as: "Supply Class V items that
are not consumed in use." These items are not managed within the TAMS. They are separately
managed as prescribed in AR 310-34, and authorized Common Tables of Allowances (CTA) 50-909.
f. Further specific training policies established by DA may include restriction on the use of an item
due to environmental effects, or the restriction on the use of high dollar value items.
