QUESTION:
The meter needle is pointing below the 10 kV mark.
Does
the power supply require readjusting?
3.
Adjust 10 kV power supply PP-607/GPN on radar set AN/FPN-40.
a. Loosen the four knurled screws of the indicator, azimuth-elevation
range, IP-800/FPN-40, pull drawer forward to its mechanical stops, and pull
the interlock out to restore power to the chassis (Figure 27).
b. Observe the output meter.
c. Adjust R8010, 10 kV adjustment control, for a reading of 10 kV on
the output meter M-8001 (Figure 27).
4.
You have completed the 10 kV power supply adjustment. In doing so you
have ensured that the proper anode and grid voltage is applied to the
cathode ray tube (CRT). Restore the radar set to its operating condition by
securing the indicator, azimuth-elevation range, IP-800/FPN-40.
